On August 14, 2025, the ICSO working group, in cooperation with the local authorities of the Sesan Commune Administration, organized a meeting to strengthen the capacity of the committee and community members on the rights to manage and use land in accordance with the statutes and internal regulations of the Charay indigenous community in Patang Village, Sesan Commune, O’Yadav District, Ratanakiri Province.

The contents of the by-law and internal rule of articles 11, 13, 22, and 27 of the community by-law, as well as Article 7, 10, and 13 of the community’s internal rule, which are related to the management and use of communal land. The committee and community members gained a clearer understanding of the contents regarding the management, organization, and use of land-forest, natural resources, as well as the resolution of various disputes within the community. This meeting was attended by the Chief of Sesan Commune, the village chief, committee members, of a total of 50 community members, including 28 women.
