On Thursday, October 2, 2025, the ICSO team, in collaboration with experts from the Department of Rural Development of Ratanakiri Province, organized a meeting to coordinate the dissemination of the national policy on indigenous development and the identification document format for the Tumpuan indigenous community in La Ern Kren Village, O Chum Commune, O Chum District, Ratanakiri Province. Attended by local authorities Tumpuan indigenous peoples, with a total of 44 people, including 18 women.

The meeting proceeded in accordance with the agenda, with the following results:

1. Most participants were interested in and understood the benefits of identification of the indigenous peoples and each step, along with the supporting document formats in the identification process.

2. Disseminated and collected primary information regarding the indigenous’ identity, customs, culture, traditions, occupations, and management and use of natural resources and land of the Tumpuan indigenous people.

3. Participants volunteered and agreed to form a community of Tampoun indigenous community and willing to declare self-identification as of Tampoun community, as well as requesting the facilitator to help expedite the process for this Tampoun identity recognition.
