On March 17, 2026, the ICSO team collaborated with the local authorities of the OChum Commune Administration to organize a meeting to discuss adjustments to the composition of the Tumpuon Indigenous Community Committee in Laen Chong Village, OChum Commune, OChum District, Ratanakiri Province, which was elected in 2010.

As a result: after the ICSO team presented the purpose of the meeting and further discussions were held with the participation of the commune councilor, the committee, and community members, it was agreed to request the election of nine new committee members to replace those who had passed away, become elderly, or moved to other villages. ICSO and the commune authorities were requested to help coordinate and expedite the election as soon as possible in order to strengthen the effectiveness of the committee’s roles and responsibilities in managing collective land in accordance with the community’s statutes and internal regulations in a sustainable manner.

The meeting was attended by the OChum commune councilor, committee members, and a total of 36 community members, 21 of whom were female.
