On March 19, 2026, the ICSO team collaborated with the local authorities of Seda Commune to organize a meeting to discuss adjustments to the composition of the Tumpuon Indigenous Community Committee in Samut Ler Village, Seda Commune, Lumphat District, Ratanakiri Province, which had been elected in 2011.

As a result: after the ICSO team presented the purpose of the meeting and held further discussions with the participation of the Seda Commune Chief, the committee, and community members, it was agreed to request the election of five new committee members to replace those who had passed away, grown old, or moved to another village.

ICSO and the commune authorities were requested to help facilitate the election as soon as possible in order to strengthen the effectiveness of the committee’s roles and responsibilities in managing collective land in accordance with the community’s statutes and internal regulations in a sustainable manner.

The meeting was attended by the Seda Commune Chief, committee members, and a total of 58 community members, including 34 women.
