On March 20, 2026, the ICSO team collaborated with the local authorities of the Kok Commune Administration to organize a meeting to discuss the structure and adjust the composition of the Charay Indigenous Community Committee of Sala Village, Kok Commune, Borkeov District, Ratanakiri Province, which was elected in 2012.

As a result, after the ICSO team presented the purpose of the meeting and further discussions were held with the participation of the Kok Commune councilor, the committee, and community members, they agreed to request the election of 11 new committee members to replace those who had passed away, become elderly, or moved to another village. ICSO and the commune authorities were requested to help coordinate and expedite the election as soon as possible in order to strengthen the effectiveness of the committee in carrying out its roles and responsibilities in managing collective land in accordance with the community’s statutes and internal regulations in a sustainable manner.

The meeting was also attended by the commune chief of Seda, the committee members, and a total of 39 community members (15 women).
