On March 18, 2026, the ICSO team collaborated with the local authorities of the Lbang 1 Commune Administration to organize a meeting to discuss the structure and adjust the composition of the Prao Indigenous Community Committee in Katieng Village, Lbang 1 Commune, Lumphat District, Ratanakiri Province. The committee was originally elected in 2017 and consisted of 9 members, including 3 women.

As a result: after the ICSO team presented the purpose of the meeting and held further discussions with the participation of the Lbang 1 Commune Chief, the committee, and community members, all participants agreed to request the election of three new committee members. These positions will replace members who have passed away, become elderly, or moved to other villages. The participants also requested that ICSO and the commune authorities help coordinate and expedite the election process as soon as possible to strengthen the effectiveness of the committee’s roles and responsibilities in managing collective land in accordance with the community’s statutes and internal regulations in a sustainable manner.

The meeting was attended by the Lbang 1 Commune Chief, committee members, and a total of 48 community members, including 26 women.
